Social Innovation Pitch Competition modeled after The Voice 

The Pitch is a three hour social innovation challenge with absolutely no experience nor prep work required. The challenge is announced at the event, and teams give an initially pitch to get matched with one of the all-star alumni we bring in to judge. Oh, and there is a $2500 first place prize!

REDESIGN A PRODUCT OR SERVICE FOR A CIRCULAR ECONOMY

Kravis Lab is challenging students to build bold and disruptive advancements. Reimagine how the world can meet everyday needs in the future by ELIMINATING waste, CIRCULATING/REUSING/REPURPOSING products and materials, AND REGENERATING the planet!

A circular economy is a systems-focused approach that reduces material use, redesigns materials, products, and services to be less resource intensive, and recaptures “waste” as a resource to manufacture new products and materials (U.S. Environmental Protection Agency)

1st Prize – $1500

2nd Prize – $750

3rd Prize – $500

FALL 2021 CHALLENGE

REDESIGN A PRODUCT OR SERVICE BETTER EQUIPPED FOR 2050

Kravis Lab is challenging students to build bold and disruptive advancements. Reimagine how the world can more impactfully meet everyday needs in the future. Students can choose to focus their pitch on either redesigning an existing product inherent in modern society or a service satisfying an innate human need.  To provide some inspiration, teams can pick from the following focus areas:

Products embedded in the 21st century – car, mobile phone, housing, clothing
Services to meet human needs – sanitation and hygiene, education, food and water, transportation

1st Prize – $500

2nd Prize – $250

3rd Prize – $100
