Promoting responsible leadership and civic change through voting and electoral processes

CIVES stands for the Claremont Initiative for Voter Engagement Strategies and is supported by the Kravis Lab. Our organization is dedicated to increasing voter turnout and enthusiasm around civics on CMC’s campus and beyond. CIVES works to facilitate open dialogue related to civics and provide campus voter education resources to merge community outreach with student research to create immersive, hands-on experiences for students to practice civic engagement.

I enjoy working at CIVES because of its strong emphasis on civics education—which I believe is the foundation of political agency, informed political discourse, democratic participation, and voter enfranchisement.

I am from Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi and am majoring in government and public policy.
